About the role

As a Workplace Banking Associate, you’ll be a key enabler of our Workplace & Employee Banking team, supporting Business Development Managers (BDMs) nationally to deliver strong, sustainable partnerships.

You’ll help generate high-quality home lending opportunities while providing end-to-end support across enquiries and loan maintenance. Working closely with Home Lending specialists, you’ll ensure corporate partners and their employees receive a professional, responsive and trusted experience. This is a role where relationship-building, commercial thinking and operational excellence come together — and where your contribution directly supports portfolio growth and long-term partnership success.

More specifically, you will

  • Partner with BDMs to prepare, coordinate and execute successful corporate launches and ongoing engagement strategies

  • Proactively engage Workplace Banking customers, uncover lending needs and connect them with the right Home Lending specialists

  • Manage home loan enquiries and maintenance activities end-to-end with accuracy and efficiency

  • Strengthen and sustain trusted relationships with corporate partners and key internal stakeholders

  • Identify portfolio growth opportunities and contribute to state-based strategic planning initiatives

  • Champion continuous improvement by sharing productivity ideas and best practice approaches

  • Respond to customer queries and resolve complaints promptly, professionally and with care

  • Maintain strong risk awareness, ensuring compliance with referral source, wellbeing and responsible lending standards

What we’re looking for

  • Proven ability to build and grow external business partnerships that deliver measurable commercial outcomes

  • Demonstrated experience in residential lending, business development or financial services

  • Strong understanding of retail lending processes, responsible lending legislation and lending terminology

  • Ability to identify customer needs and convert opportunities into quality referrals

  • Exceptional relationship management skills, with confidence engaging corporate stakeholders

  • High attention to detail and strong organisational capability

  • Confident navigating banking systems and technology platforms

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Relevant financial services qualification (degree, diploma or Certificate IV)

  • FSRA Tier 2 Accreditation (including Deposit Products and General Insurance)
