Job Summary

As the Director of Product Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing product marketing strategies and go-to-market plans for B2B and B2B2C customers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create marketing tools, messaging, and materials that promote our Connected Living products.

In this global support role, you will collaborate with Marketing, Product, regional leaders, Communications and other cross-functional teams to develop materials, tools and campaigns to market and promote our solutions externally.

You will partner with Growth Marketing and Marketing Strategy teams to market assigned products, help implement them with clients, and ensure performance against stated goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

You will be responsible for product-specific messaging, positioning and go-to-market materials to support both B2B and B2B2C audiences. You will use testing and conduct market and consumer research to properly position, message and distribute our products to ensure optimal performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong digital marketing and e-commerce background with a track record of successfully bringing products to market.

Job Responsibilities

B2B Sales Enablement (40%)

  • Develop and maintain product-specific sales enablement materials such as pitch decks, ebooks, product sheets, guides, and case studies. Ensure these materials are strategically designed to tell the right story, align with business goals, and effectively communicate the product's value to B2B audiences.
  • Create compelling product messaging that aligns with strategic positioning and resonates with target B2B audiences. Collaborate with Marketing Strategy and Growth Marketing to ensure cohesive storytelling across channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify relevant strategic insights and proof points to incorporate into sales materials. Ensure any relevant data or substantiation is regularly updated and maintained.
  • Manage and maintain product positioning and messaging frameworks to ensure consistency across all B2B marketing efforts. Collaborate with Marketing Strategy for adapting materials for specific proposals, and with LOB Marketing for initiatives related to naming, branding, and trademarks.
  • Partner with Growth Marketing and Product Marketing to ensure alignment with broader plans and campaigns related to our product and service offering.
  • Oversee and maintain product marketing architecture and product positioning and messaging documents. Develop marketing briefs including creative and campaign briefs as required.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product marketing initiatives and ensure they drive desired business outcomes.

Go-to-Market Strategy & B2B2C Support (40%)

  • Develop Go-to-Market tools and templates that optimize key metrics such as attach rates, retention, and customer engagement. Collaborate with Growth Marketing to ensure these tools are adaptable for client-specific implementations and driven by market research and data insights.
  • Conduct research and testing to validate messaging and strategies. Ensure tools are data-driven, resonate with target audiences, and are adaptable for specific client needs.
  • Maintain marketing templates and tools, taking into account client and product performance, value proposition, consumer insights, and other learnings.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, clarity, effectiveness and compliance of consumer-facing materials, communications and tools for assigned products.
  • Assist in the analysis of product marketing performance and support the creation of reports and dashboards for marketing decision-making.

Market & Consumer Insights (20%)

  • Lead product marketing research efforts in collaboration with internal teams to gather and analyze consumer insights that directly inform marketing strategies. Ensure insights are actionable and effectively guide decision-making.
  • Continuously monitor the competitive landscape, analyzing product performance, messaging, and positioning to identify market opportunities and risks. Use this analysis to refine strategies and maintain competitive differentiation.
  • Oversee research and testing efforts to validate product messaging and Go-to-Market strategies. Ensure that all tools and strategies are grounded in data and effectively resonate with key customer segments, driving measurable business outcomes

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Product, Marketing, Business Administration or other related field
  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing with a focus on product positioning, digital marketing, and go-to-market execution. Previous experience managing a small team is preferred.
  • Experience supporting B2C and B2B marketing strategies, with strong skills in executing marketing campaigns and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Direct experience with managing digital and traditional marketing efforts and channels from concept through to production. 
  • Demonstrated experience with marketing research to inform product development, positioning, messaging.
  • Excellent people skills; ability to build relationships, navigate cross-functional teams and internal/external resources.
  • Comfortable working in matrixed environments. 
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with complex and changing market dynamics. 

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Knowledge

  • Product Marketing experience with SaaS products, telecommunications, financial services or insurtech industry preferred.
  • B2B and B2B2C/consumer marketing experience preferred.
  • Strong marketing research background including experience with quantitative and qualitative studies. Using research to inform product development, positioning, messaging.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.

Pay Range:

$99,200.00 - $165,600.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
