About the Role

We are Maersk, and we are looking for a Key Client Director (KCD) to lead one of our most strategic and highly integrated customer relationships. This role is responsible for driving the overall commercial strategy, growth agenda, and executive stakeholder engagement for a complex global account with a broad portfolio of logistics and supply chain services.

As the primary commercial leader for the account, you will oversee growth initiatives across Ocean, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Air, Ground Freight, eCommerce, Heavy Bulky, and other integrated logistics solutions. You will work closely with Client Program Directors, operational leaders, and cross-functional teams to ensure exceptional performance while identifying new opportunities to expand Maersk’s footprint across the customer’s supply chain.

This is a highly visible leadership role that requires a strategic mindset, strong executive presence, and deep expertise in global supply chain management. Success will be measured by your ability to build trusted customer relationships, develop long-term account plans, and consistently deliver profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the overall commercial strategy and growth agenda for a strategic global account

  • Develop and execute annual account plans and multi-year growth roadmaps aligned with customer objectives

  • Drive year-over-year revenue growth through identification and development of new business opportunities across the customer’s supply chain

  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships across customer stakeholder groups, from logistics teams through senior leadership

  • Partner closely with Client Program Directors and operational leaders to ensure alignment between commercial objectives and service delivery

  • Identify opportunities to expand Maersk’s capabilities across Ocean, Supply Chain Management, Ground Freight, eCommerce, Air Freight, and Heavy Bulky solutions

  • Lead commercial negotiations, contract discussions, and strategic customer engagements

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovative logistics solutions to market and secure new business opportunities

  • Act as a trusted advisor by developing deep knowledge of the customer’s business, supply chain strategy, and growth priorities

Who We Are Looking For

  • Significant experience managing large strategic accounts within logistics, transportation, supply chain, or global trade environments

  • Deep expertise in Ocean transportation and Supply Chain Management solutions

  • Proven track record of growing complex customer accounts through consultative selling and strategic account management

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and engage senior customer stakeholders

  • Experience developing and executing account growth strategies across multiple logistics products and service lines

  • Strong understanding of integrated logistics solutions and global supply chain operations

  • Demonstrated success leading complex commercial negotiations and business development initiatives

  • Ability to navigate matrixed organizations and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver customer outcomes

  • Experience with Ground Freight, eCommerce, Air Freight, or domestic transportation solutions is highly desirable

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Job Type: Full-time

  • Travel: Approximately 20%, including domestic and occasional international travel

  • Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000
