Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Train new hires on the key duties of their position including following SOPs and rules and guidelines set by federal and state regulations and the IACUC.
Conduct initial and periodic skill/knowledge verification assessments for cage wash staff, animal caretakers, veterinary technicians and other personnel.
Report to supervisors on the status of individuals' training and needs; provide documentation assessing training.
Train research and veterinary technical staff in certain procedures including hands-on activities and facility orientation tours for staff seeking facility access.
Assist with the AALAS Certification and continuing education program.
