Ardent is seeking a Web Developer to join our team.  

This is a remote position.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a Web Developer to support the design, development, and maintenance of secure web-based applications in support of mission-critical government operations. This role will focus on building scalable, high-performing applications across front-end and back-end systems while operating within classified and highly regulated environments. The developer will ensure compliance with federal security requirements and support systems that handle sensitive data across secure networks.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy secure web applications and user interfaces.
  • Build and maintain front-end components using modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
  • Develop and maintain back-end services, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Ensure all development aligns with federal security standards and secure coding practices.
  • Support development and deployment within classified and controlled environments.
  • Perform code reviews and participate in security assessments and vulnerability remediation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements.
  • Participate in Agile SDLC processes including sprint planning, development, and testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development and production environments.
  • Integrate third-party tools and services in a secure manner.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
  • Maintain version control using Git and support branching/merging strategies.
  • Work with databases to design, query, and optimize data storage solutions.
  • Document technical solutions, processes, and system configurations.

Requirements: 

  • Active TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Must be eligible for and able to maintain a government-issued security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in web development.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
  • Experience with back-end development (Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET).
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and application security principles.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git preferred).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience supporting DoD or federal government environments.
  • Familiarity with federal security frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Experience working in classified or controlled environments.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Technical lead or team lead experience preferred.
