The Opportunity

This position works out of our Maidenhead location in the Core Rapid Diagnostics division. Our diagnostics business is transforming care by providing timely information to better manage health. 

As a Sales Service Specialist you will be responsible for handling queries from customers and salespeople, including telephoned orders, and receiving mailed and faxed orders. All while demonstrating in-depth knowledge of the SAP Symphony/ADOC system and Abbott reporting tools.

What you’ll do

  • Ensure all activities comply with quality system requirements.

  • Monitor and achieve team goals on a quarterly basis.

  • Lead and participate in regular team meetings and projects.

  • Handle internal and external customer queries on deliveries, invoice pricing, product availability, and customer orders via phone or email.

  • Assist team members with complex queries, coordinating with other departments in Maidenhead, Germany, or Ireland.

  • Take on high-profile tasks requiring specialist knowledge, such as specific product or division order management and data analysis, and share relevant information with the team.

  • Understand key customer issues through visits with salespeople or engineers, becoming the main contact for high-profile customers like MSC, Blood Bank, or Priority sites.

  • Liaise with staff in Germany and local couriers on logistics queries, investigating issues thoroughly to prevent future errors.

Qualifications/Experience

  • GCSE, or equivalent, in Maths.

  • Fully understand ADD ordering and UK invoicing processes.

  • Have experience in team projects with demonstrable influence and involvement.

  • Communicate effectively with peers and colleagues on business issues.

  • Work well in a demanding environment with a varied workload, maintaining a pleasant manner.

  • Possess intermediate to advanced experience with software packages, including electronic reporting tools.
