Location: Logan Health Specialty Care – Missoula
Schedule: Part-Time | 24 Hours per Week | Day Shift (8-Hour Shifts)
Logan Health Specialty Care – Missoula is seeking a compassionate and motivated Dietitian to join our team. This position will primarily support Pediatric Endocrinology, providing specialized nutrition care and education for children and families managing diabetes, metabolic, and endocrine conditions.
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about improving the lives of patients through evidence-based nutrition counseling. As a valued member of our multidisciplinary care team, the Dietitian provides nutrition assessment, counseling, and intervention following professional standards and organizational guidelines.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in foods and nutrition from an accredited institution required.
Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), or RD-eligible with the ability to pass the exam and obtain Montana licensure within 90 days of hire.
Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Montana State Board of Medical Examiners to function as a Nutritionist.
Candidates with pending Nutrition Licensure may practice under direct supervision of a licensed RD until approval.
CPR certification as required per work location (e.g., RQI Responder or Heartsaver CPR/AED).
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year in a healthcare setting preferred.
Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking abilities.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn EHR systems.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Collaborate with pediatric endocrinologists, nurses, and care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Provide education and counseling for patients and families on diabetes management, healthy eating habits, and lifestyle modifications.
Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust interventions as needed.
Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR).
Mentor students and interns as applicable.
Participate in department meetings, multidisciplinary rounds, and community education events.

Shift:
Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
