Position Overview

As part of the talented Boston Whaler team, you will work within the warehouse and deliver all key components for assembly. They will need to be exceptionally detailed oriented to make sure our inventory is in the warehouse for all of our customer-built boats.

Essential Functions:  

  • Kit and/or store items in a safe, orderly, and accessible manner in warehouses, production areas as required, or outside designated areas
  • Determine sequence and release of back orders according to stock availability 
  • Required to receive and count stock items and record data manually or using computer 
  • Required to unpack items and stock shelves in warehouse or other designated areas using ladders, pickers, and forklifts
  • Verify inventory counts by comparing physical counts - investigate discrepancies or adjust errors 
  • Ensure accurate inventory techniques are always used
  • Mark stock items with appropriate labels, tags, stamps, or other equipment as required
  • Required to prepare and maintain records of inventories, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued 
  • Willing to work to specific job instructions, frequently reading and providing verbal and or a written status 
  • Must follow all applicable local and federal statutes in the handling of hazardous materials.
  • Must be able to count accurately to properly prepare orders.
  • Pulls parts from stock and packs for shipment.
  • Communicates and coordinates with Customer Service Department regarding shipments to Dealers or Customers.
  • Prepares Bills of Lading, Hazardous Shipment Declarations, or other required documentation.
  • Prep and package spare parts orders in accordance with contract specifications.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must always follow all safety and quality standards, including chemical handling standards and PPE (protective personnel equipment)
  • Basic math and counting skills, attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions
  • Ability to work with fellow coworkers in proximity and in a team environment displaying mutual respect
  • Ability to fluently speak, read, understand, and write English
  • Must have knowledge of good packaging practices.
  • Must have ability to properly complete all shipping documents
  • Efficient in Microsoft EXCEL, WORD.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in shipping is desirable
  • Haz-mat certified or knowledge desirable
  • Self-starter, high energy individual who performs assignments effectively.
  • Basic skills in forklift, overhead hoist, and computers preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Protective Personnel Equipment (PPE) requirements could include gloves, hard hats and other equipment as required
  • Ability to work a 10+ hour shift standing, bending, reaching
  • Moderate lifting ability up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (may be above 100 ambient degrees or below 10 ambient degrees in areas of production)
  • Ability to work in a fiberglass dust environment and a fast paced, noisy environment
  • Ability to work overtime (planned and unplanned)

The anticipated pay range for this position is $17.56-$26.70 hourly.  The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.   

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
