Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Head of Channels in Business and Corporate Banking. This individual will oversee a team that shapes, defines and drives the future digital banking experience for business customers across the customer lifecycle. As a Head of Channels, you will set direction and contribute to the creation and on-going success of the latest digital solutions for our clients in Malaysia and our regional presence. The Head of Channels will report to Head - Business & Corporate Banking (Customer Innovation & Proposition)
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Functional (job responsibilities)
- Digital Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive digital strategies aligned with business objectives, to introduce more features and functionality to our digital channels, to ultimately drive more activity on our platforms and provide the best digital banking experience in ASEAN.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of up to 12 individuals ranging from project managers, to Quality Assurance managers and performance managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Channel Management (Internet / Mobile Banking & Tablet Onboarding): Responsible for the day to day delivery of digital banking services via Internet and Mobile Banking, including vendor management, issue resolution, customer incidents, downtime planning, and performance reporting. The role holder will meticulously plan enhancements, health checks, and DR activities in line with activities bank wide to ensure no disruption of service.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across digital channels, leveraging data insights to assess opportunities to drive more non users to convert to digital banking.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, IT, product development, and risk and compliance, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of digital initiatives with broader organizational goals.
- Technology Integration: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and digital marketing trends, evaluating and implementing new tools and platforms to enhance our digital capabilities and competitive advantage.
- Budget Management: Management of the department’s budget facilities, including current financial year and planning for future financial years. This also includes P&L management, GL reconciliation, and management of department related transaction codes.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices in digital marketing, mitigating risks associated with data privacy, security, and brand reputation.

Education/Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree or equivalent (preferably specializing in Banking/Finance/Economics and equivalent)
Experience
- 5 years and above in banking or top tier consulting firm
- Extensive experience in digital banking and platform management
- Extensive programme management experience, leading a portfolio of change
Skills
- Critical thinking, possess investigative nature
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills (written and spoken), through all levels of the organization and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of leaders and executives, and subject matter experts
- Experienced in managing vendors
