The Opportunity

For our Abbott Diabetes Care Division ADC we are looking for an experienced professional ton join our commercial team in Slovenia as a Key Account Expert.

This will be a field-based job requiring regular travelling across assigned territory (Ljubljana + southern Slovenia).

Primary objective of position are visits to targeted KOLs and HCPs according to business needs and Cycle strategy as well as implementation of different types of marketing projects in the field including launching of new products in Slovenia and cooperation with KOLs and HCPs (KOLs and HCPs activation).

KAE cooperates with ADC Adria team, effectively informing them about progress of projects and KOL and HCPs engagement.

What You'll do:

  • Analyze the target audience (KOL and HCP targeting and segmentation) and correlate with their potential, project participation and their influential capacity.
  • Work in the field (Calls with KOL and HCP including call notes, KOL Management/Development, Congress participation).
  • Develop and implement strategically innovative marketing programs and promotional campaigns to grow product sales.
  • Monitor product and market performance, identifying critical performance areas and creating programs to address them.
  • Forecast market and product performance, provide input for Plans/Updates and new product launches.
  • Proposal of quarter activities based on 4S model and effective implementation of the model activity on the field.
  • Regular visit of targeted HCPs and KOLs according to business needs.
  • Lead/implement a different types of marketing projects in the field including launching of new products.
  • Understand market dynamics thoroughly to identify current and future areas of opportunity.
  • Cycle Meeting preparation.
  • Monitoring and analyzing of IMS data on regular basis.
  • Forecasting future sales trends to ensure optimal stock levels and report LBE of performance vs. budget.
  • Exchange Competitor knowledge - present comments, highlights and competitor activity.
  • Cooperation with ADC Adria team, effectively inform them about progress of projects and KOL and HCPs engagement.
  • Delivers reports and plans needed by his or her supervisor.
  • Improve products knowledge, marketing and selling skills on regular basis.
  • Exchange/share feed-back information on HCPs acceptability of our key messages, promotional materials, gadgets and other promotional activities.
  • Expense reports as per accounting procedures / expenses within budget.
  • Compliance with Abbott ethical standards and business practices as relate to dress, acceptable professional behavior, etc.

Required qualifications and background:

  • University degree (science, business or other)
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical / medical device industry, preferably including sales, min 5 years.
  • Good knowledge of English and Slovenian is essential.
  • Good computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Power point).
  • Desire to achieve increasing sales.
  • Knowledge of healthcare system and processes in Slovenian market.
  • Existing base of key customer contacts.
  • Commercial experience.
  • Service and Results orientation.
  • Excellent listening and communication abilities.
  • Confidential and trustworthy.
  • Readiness to travel across Slovenia (75% of working time).
