Technical Product Manager - Equities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Product Manager for our Equities team to lead the development and growth of our products. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the equities market, a proven track record in product management, and a passion for delivering innovative solutions to our clients.

This position is a hybrid role located in the New York City office.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for options products, aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Product Development: Define product requirements, collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, sales, marketing) to develop and launch new options products.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond.
  • Customer Focus: Build strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and translate them into product enhancements.
  • Data Analysis: Leverage data and analytics to measure product performance, identify opportunities, and inform decision-making.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior product managers, fostering a high-performing product team.

Qualifications:

  • You have 5-10 years of product management experience working in a highly technical environment
  • You were a former developer, engineer or had equivalent work experience
  • You understand Agile best practices and are willing to adapt or tear down those practices to fit different team structures
  • You are comfortable discussing and critiquing technical design details with engineers
  • You are an active listener, and value building collaborative and sustainable relationships
  • You constantly itch to discover the “why.”
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or another technical field
  • Worked on high performance, low latency trading systems
  • Not afraid to hold individuals accountable
  • Good understanding of DevOps best practices and continual process improvement
  • You know your way around a Linux command line
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Strong technical design and documentation skills
  • Time management and task prioritization skills
  • Critical thinking skills; able to take feedback and transform it into strategic action
  • Not afraid to get hands dirty with data analysis and QA investigation

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting annual base pay is between $200,000 and $260,000 for this NY-based position. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The annual base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for bonus and equity.
