Rotherham

Full time – Permanent role - 42.5 hours per week

salary of £37,257.54 per annum + company van and fuel card

Role Criteria:

As a specialist in installing adapted bathrooms for customers with individual special needs you will be responsible for all trade work except electrics and gas.

Commonly the work will be adapting bathrooms, installing wet rooms and shower over baths, sometimes redesigning the bathroom, removing walls etc to allow installation.

Works are undertaken in both council and private properties and must be delivered to a high standard in a reasonable timescale in line with the customers needs, making a significant difference in the lives of those who need these adaptations.

All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.

Key Criteria:

  • Previous experience in installing wetrooms: You have hands-on experience in designing and installing wetrooms, ensuring they are waterproof and functional. This includes tasks such as preparing the subfloor, installing waterproof membranes, and fitting drainage systems.
  • Previous experience with tiling: You are skilled in various tiling techniques, including cutting, laying, and grouting tiles. You can work with different types of tiles such as ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone, ensuring precise alignment and a professional finish.
  • Full UK driving licence: You hold a valid UK driving licence, which allows you to travel to different job sites and transport tools and materials as needed.
  • Able to supply own hand tools: You have your own set of hand tools, which means you are ready to start work immediately without the need for additional equipment. This includes tools like trowels, tile cutters, spirit levels, and more.
  • Good communication skills: You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to effectively interact with clients, understand their needs, and provide clear instructions, This ensures smooth project execution and high customer satisfaction.
