As Sr. UX Designer I, you’ll apply user-centered design principles to improve the workflow, expand the functionality, and enhance the visual appeal of websites and mobile apps. You will also work fearlessly with clients, users, and team members to build the best products possible. You’ll be disciplined in branding and design experience for responsive web, typography, color theory, and have an eye for modern design.  Additionally, your understanding of digital design is fluid, flexible, and adaptive for Web design UI. Lastly, you are passionate about creating modern, usable, and inspiring interfaces; and own your work with also having excellent communication and collaboration skills.

What you’ll do:

  • You will work with an open and motivated team designing digital experiences that solve agency missions.
  • You will own the Interface and Interaction Design - leading user experience strategy, improvement assessments, information architecture, wireframes, and user research activities.
  • You will strategize about how to integrate web, mobile, data, and emerging platforms into seamlessly interconnected ecosystems.
  • You will take part in the Agile process; grooming different solutions to challenges.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • You have an active Secret security clearance or higher.
  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or similar concentration.
  • You have 5-7 years of experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies.
  • You have experience gathering requirements from users and stakeholders, defines information architecture, creates sample user personas, and documents user workflow.
  • You have experience performing user research and usability testing, and facilitates focus groups. Applying the results from user research and usability testing to create new features and improve current features.
  • Experience translating information into UIs and Interactions.
  • You have an understanding of common software development and agile development practices.
  • Experience creating User Stories while working with business analysts to develop acceptance criteria.
  • You have familiarity with various graphic design software packages
  • You have experience designing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, as well as visual design comps.
  • You have knowledge of visual design and wireframing/prototyping tools.
  • Have have a working knowledge of design patterns and pattern libraries.
  • Experience with Section 508 compliance.
