Position Summary

The Master Data Management Analyst  – Procurement plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and efficiency of master data across the organization. As a key member of the Central Procurement team, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing material master data, info records, source lists, and related processes. This role involves resolving issues related to Procure-to-Pay (P2P) operations, stock transfers, and SAP systems, while driving process improvements and supporting strategic data excellence initiatives.

You will act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all master data-related queries across plants in India, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, procurement managers, and business partners. Leveraging your expertise in SAP MM/MDM and data analytics, you will ensure compliance, productivity, and quality standards are met, while contributing to the success of internal projects and process standardization efforts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Master Data Management

• Create, maintain, and optimize material master data, info records, source lists, and condition records.
• Perform mass maintenance tasks using tools like LSMW and ensure data accuracy.
• Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all master data-related queries across plants in India.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and maintain high-quality data management practices.

2. Issue Resolution and Operational Support

• Resolve issues related to Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, stock transfers, and third-party systems.
• Address SAP-related issues and ensure smooth integration with external systems.
• Provide timely support to internal stakeholders, adhering to defined TAT (Turnaround Time).
• Generate SAP reports and support data analysis for operational decision-making.

3. Process Improvement and Strategic Initiatives

• Drive process improvement projects related to master data and procurement operations.
• Develop and implement standardized workflows, process flows, and SOPs.
• Support strategic data excellence initiatives for supply chain functions.
• Collaborate with procurement managers and business partners to align with internal customer requirements and improvement projects.

4. Stakeholder Management and Analytics

• Maintain KPIs and provide data analytics to monitor and improve master data performance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on data management practices.
• Provide leadership in data management activities and develop new practices to enhance operational efficiency.
• Train and cross-train team members, ensure knowledge sharing and process continuity.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP MM/MDM (SAP MM certification is an advantage).
• Experience in:
  • Material master data creation and extension
  • Info records, source lists, and LSMW
  • P2P processes, stock transfers, pricing, and taxation
  • SAP report generation and third-party systems (Like Coupa , Jaggaer etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
