Course: Digital Photography I

In this introductory digital photography course, students explore basic camera operation, digital capture, photographic principles, lighting, and visual design elements. This course includes reading, writing, and lab assignments and requires the creation and exhibition of student photography. This is not a photo manipulation course.

• Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions while incorporating innovative teaching strategies.
• Engage students in cutting-edge technologies and industry trends.
• Assess student performance and mentor classroom success to prepare them for their chosen career path.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

What You Will Bring:

• Minimum: Bachelors with Design/Photography or Graphic Design/Photography Certification AND
  • industry experience AND approval by Dean or 2 years University instruction experience.
• Preferred: Masters or other terminal degree AND 2 years University instruction experience.
