In this role, you’ll define and drive the strategy and roadmap for scalable application development and digital adoption solutions across Huron’s industries and product areas. You’ll guide concepts from ideation through build, launch, and expansion—elevating productivity and decision-making through modern, innovative technology solutions.
The ideal candidate brings strong product management experience, hands-on experience managing application lifecycles, and the ability to translate emerging technologies—including AI driven capabilities—into meaningful, value driven products that clients love.
Position Summary
Product Managers set big-picture goals and strategy for product success. In this role, you are accountable for product vision, roadmap, positioning, and business outcomes, and responsible for driving the operating cadence that turns strategy into shipped value.
You will partner closely with Product Owners, Engineering, UX, Sales, Marketing, Professional Services, and client stakeholders to ensure the team is solving the right problems, with the right priorities, for the right users.
You will bring a market-informed perspective (trends, competitive alternatives, win/loss insights), lead discovery, define success metrics, and manage the tradeoffs required to deliver outcomes across adoption, retention, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
This position must reside in the United States.
Responsibilities
Strategy and Vision
• Define the product suite strategy and roadmap across multiple industries and functional domains.
• Drive structured innovation intake, idea evaluation, prioritization, and business case development.
• Identify emerging patterns and opportunities in Workday’s ecosystem, including AI-enabled product extensions.
• Own product vision with a rolling multi-year view; articulate strategic direction and measurable outcomes.
• Define product strategy, differentiation, positioning, and value narrative aligned to Huron POV and industry standards.
• Drive packaging and pricing strategy (value-based configurations) in partnership with commercial stakeholders.
• Set and maintain roadmap principles, investment themes, and a prioritization framework; ensure decisions are transparent and evidence-based.
• Lead stakeholder alignment from strategy through execution.
Market Awareness and Differentiation
• Lead continuous market and customer discovery (personas, unmet needs, workflows, buying drivers).
• Track market trends and competitive landscape; synthesize insights into strategy, roadmap shifts, and go-to-market implications.
• Drive win/loss learning loops and convert insights into prioritized product actions.
• Identify and leverage strategic assets (technology, capabilities, IP, partnerships) to strengthen differentiation and innovation.
Roadmap, Outcomes, and Prioritization
• Own the product roadmap from themes to epics to outcomes; ensure alignment across stakeholders.
• Define outcome metrics and KPIs (adoption, retention, CSAT/NPS, financial measures) and hold the organization accountable to impact.
• Partner with Product Owners to ensure epics/features are decomposed effectively and delivered iteratively.
• Define release intent and scope; ensure tradeoffs are made explicitly and communicated clearly.
Initiative Business Cases and Investment
• Identify growth and improvement opportunities; build and validate initiative business cases tied to measurable business outcomes.
• Determine investment required and expected return; recommend prioritization and sequencing.
• Escalate tradeoffs and risks with clear options and impacts.
Cross-Functional Leadership and Stakeholder Management
• Orchestrate inputs and alignment across Engineering, UX, Sales, Marketing, Professional Services, User Education, and Customers.
• Communicate strategy, roadmap, performance, and risks clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Serve as an escalation point for priority conflicts; drive timely decisions and shared context.
Go-to-Market and Customer Engagement
• Partner with Marketing and Sales on positioning, messaging, launch readiness, and feedback loops from pipeline through retention.
• Engage customers through interviews, advisory interactions, and events; synthesize learnings into roadmap and strategy.
• Support enablement by providing clear articulation of what is shipping, why it matters, and who it benefits.
Operating Cadence and Tooling
• Use Azure DevOps (or equivalent) to maintain roadmap visibility, outcome tracking, and prioritization clarity in partnership with Product Owners.
• Establish a healthy product operating cadence (discovery, prioritization, stakeholder updates, KPI reviews).
• Ensure decisions, assumptions, and tradeoffs are documented and communicated.
Qualifications
Required
• U.S. work authorization.
• BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (or similar) for product lifecycle, backlog, and roadmap management.
• Strong communication skills with diverse audiences (technical and non-technical; individual contributors and leadership) across multiple time zones.
• Self-starter; able to reprioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to collaborate with a global workforce across time zones; flexible working hours as standard 9-5 availability is not expected.
Preferred
• Familiarity with developing, launching, or supporting Built on Workday, Oracle Cloud Marketplace, Salesforce AppExchange, and/or Innosight applications.
• Product management experience in SaaS, enterprise applications, digital solutions, or internal tools.
• Experience with application marketing, sales enablement, or product consulting.
• Working knowledge of emerging technologies including AI augmented capabilities, automation, and data driven insights.
• Industry familiarity (Healthcare, Higher Ed, FSI) grounding product decisions in real customer needs.
• Ideal Candidate is detail oriented, proactive, leads like an entrepreneur, and has experience managing department operations.
