Supplier Governance Senior Manager (Process)
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will oversee the performance and quality of key suppliers, ensuring alignment with Amgen's strategy and standards, and facilitating effective communication and collaboration among internal and external stakeholders. You will lead evaluation planning and also contribute to process improvement and cross-functional initiatives. .
Collaborate with business leadership to identify business needs and priorities, and align supplier strategy and capabilities
Oversee evaluation planning across Amgen portfolio and partner with key functions for forecasting to optimize resource allocation and delivery
Support business functions with evaluation, selection, and startup of suppliers
Effective collaboration with R&D Quality for robust execution of end to end supplier governance
Facilitate and implement supplier governance meetings and operating reviews, monitor key performance indicators and issue management
Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including study teams, functional leads, procurement, quality, compliance, and suppliers
Work with suppliers and Amgen partners to identify process improvements and coordinate their development and implementation, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance requirements
Assist with standardizing and aligning clinical trial execution across supplier types, and support the adoption of new and emerging technologies and innovations
Lead and contribute to cross-functional initiatives and special projects
Facilitate mentoring, training, and career development of direct reports, and manage their performance and feedback

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Clinical experience
Masters degree and 4 years of Clinical experience
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Clinical experience
Associate's degree and 10 years of Clinical experience
High school diploma/GED and 12 years of Clinical experience
BS/BA/BSc in the sciences or RN
9 years work experience in life sciences or medically related field, including 6 years of biopharmaceutical clinical research experience (clinical research experience obtained working on clinical trials at a biotech, pharmaceutical or CRO company)
Experience working with and/or providing oversight of clinical research suppliers (e.g. CROs, central labs, Imaging , eCOA, IRT, etc.)
Experience with supplier due diligence
Experience leading direct reports
Experience working in a global, matrix organization
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP), FDA regulations and guidelines, and international regulatory requirements/guidelines
Clinical Trial Execution
Project management experience
Proficiency in proactive issue management
Experience writing and presenting clearly to Senior Management
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, supervisory skills
Professional collaboration and leadership skills
Experience with or knowledge of clinical trial auditing or monitoring

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
