The Equipment Technician provides in an expedient manner, properly functioning scopes and probes by maintaining, testing, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
The Equipment Technician ensures proper storage and inventorying of equipment, as well as readiness for case cart assembly. This role may also perform decontamination and high level disinfection (HLD) of equipment.

Experience PREFERRED:
Previous experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment.
Education/training REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Education/training PREFERRED:
Electronic equipment maintenance or repair training.
Independent action(s) required:
Keeps managers apprised of repair equipment status, scheduled maintenance inspections and all clients affects.
Develops and supports clinical relationships.
Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with physicians, clinical staff, patients, residents, visitors, staff and the broader health care community.

Repairs, tests and calibrates equipment according to manufacturers’ recommendations and other established guidelines.
Assists in the ordering of parts and supplies via business operations software required for the servicing of medical equipment.

Maintains timely, accurate and thorough documentation required by management, as outlined in current policies and procedures.
