Role: Head of Legal and Contract Management

Location: Vasteras, Sweden

Job Overview

Linxon is seeking an experienced Head of Legal and Contract Management to lead our legal and commercial team based in Västerås, Sweden. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of legal, contracts management, and commercial operations to ensure the successful execution of Linxon's projects. You will play a key role in ensuring legal compliance, driving profitability, managing risks, and optimizing commercial outcomes for the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the legal and commercial team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance and development to successfully achieve commercial objectives of the unit and the projects.

  • Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and administration of contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and commercial needs.

  • Drive commercial and claim strategies and work with appropriate stakeholders to ensure delivery of successful strategies to optimize contract terms, mitigate risks, and maximize commercial opportunities.

  • In collaboration with the procurement team, develop and execute procurement strategies and advice project teams on the development of contract terms and conditions.

  • Lead and support the project teams in resolving claims and exceling in disputes management and resolution.

  • Provide legal and contractual advice and support to project teams, senior management, and other stakeholders.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to inform decision-making and strategy development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Law, Engineering, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience with FIDIC, ABT06, NS8407 and similar bespoke contracts is mandatory.

  • Proven experience in contracts management, commercial operations, and procurement, preferably in the energy or infrastructure sector.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Sound understanding of legal and commercial principles, contract law, and risk management.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and make strategic decisions.

  • Fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
