Key responsibilities

 

Do you want to actively shape digitalization and drive innovative solutions for the industry of the future? In this role, you will be the key driver for successful bid preparation and contribute to bringing digital products and projects to market efficiently and purposefully. Every day, you will work to identify and implement technically and commercially optimized solutions for our customers. At the same time, you will optimize internal processes and support strategic decisions to ensure a sustainable competitive advantage for our customers.

In this position, you will support the further development of the Process Automation – Energy Industries division in Mannheim.

 

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Analyzing customer inquiries, preparing technically and commercially sound quotations, and taking responsibility for the entire quotation process – from cost calculation to the final documentation.
• Proactively coordinating internal departments (Engineering, Operations, Product, Legal & Commercial) to develop tailored solutions and ensure smooth implementation.
• Conducting risk analyses, supporting the prequalification process for public tenders, and assisting with applications as a potential contractor.
• Evaluating the technical feasibility of customer requirements and ensuring efficient coordination between internal and external stakeholders.
• Driving the future of sales together with us.

Qualifications for the role

• Successfully completed a degree in a technical field, preferably Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification as a certified technician or master craftsman.
• Several years of experience in technical project business, including experience in quotation preparation and customer interaction.
• A passion for technical details and a highly accurate, thorough, and process-oriented way of working to ensure error-free execution. Ideally, you have solid knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken German and English, with strong negotiation skills in both languages.
• A structured and independent way of working, combined with the willingness to think beyond conventional approaches in order to deliver optimal solutions for our customers.
