About the Role:

We are seeking a Manager to join our Capital Markets team to lead the management of our cash and balance sheet forecasting model. This exciting role involves working with internal stakeholders across the company and all five of Upgrade’s lending products (personal loan, card, home improvement, indirect auto, and BNPL). This role has high visibility in the organization and will influence the strategic execution of capital markets transactions for the company. This position reports into the Head of Capital Markets and is based in our San Francisco office in a hybrid capacity (specifically on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays).


What You'll Do:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance capital planning and balance sheet forecasting based on drivers such as warehouse facility activity, forward flow agreements, pool sales, and other capital markets and corporate activities
  • Prepare detailed forecasts and scenario analyses to assess balance sheet impact from business opportunities,, changes in market conditions, on the balance sheet
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, marketing, product, and G&A teams to understand, validate, integrate relevant assumptions
  • Monitor and analyze cash flow trends, providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making and liquidity management
  • Present regular updates and reports to executive leadership, offering recommendations to optimize cash management and strengthen financial planning
  • Assist with executing ABS securitization transactions, analyzing deal structures and managing related models


What We Look For:

  • 5+ years of capital markets, cash management, investment banking, strategic finance, or related experience
  • Advanced in MS Excel, SQL (preferred), and Tableau (nice to have)
  • Understanding of secured and unsecured consumer lending and credit underwriting; fintech experience a plus
  • Knowledge and experience of executing structured finance transactions and asset-backed securities (ABS) markets 
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment to meet deal deadlines 
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Good judgment and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and strong client service skills

The compensation range of this position in San Francisco, CA is USD $140,000 - $160,000 annually plus equity and benefits. Within this range, an individual's base pay will be dependent on a variety of factors, including without limitation, job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
