HP Industrial Print SW & Solutions (IPSS)

IPSS strategy is to deliver Intelligent Automation to our Industrial Print customers. A key enabler to this strategy is data. The Data DevSecOps principal will work closely with the DataOS team to establish the required infrastructure and operational processes to enable our data engineers/scientists and data product consumers to be effective/efficient/compliant in access/usage of data. In addition, the principal will make contributions to the IPSS Platform that hosts PrintOS applications & services and PrintOS Site Flow.

We are on the hunt for a skilled DevSecOps principal that is proficient in Databricks and AI/ML technologies (where data meets analytics and insights) to join our dynamic IPSS team. The candidate will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to help provide data products to our customers and internal applications team that are developing Intelligent Automation solutions.

Job Summary
• This role is responsible for supporting dynamic team/teams that contribute to building a robust DevSecOps culture enabling seamless and efficient software delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability. The role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and system administrators, to streamline development workflows and ensure the continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring of software applications. The role gets involved in strategic planning, process optimization, team leadership, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
• Takes ownership and manages projects enabling continuous integration and automation of service integration, delivery, and deployments.
• Provides guidance to junior team members on all DevSecOps related practices and projects.
• Manages the organization's continuous integration and delivery pipeline to maximize efficiency.
• Implements industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management.
• Defines DevOps goals and metrics across functional teams and the business.
• Seeks understanding of customer/end-user requirements and project KPIs.
• Creates new processes for improvement and minimization of wastage.
• Actively engages with architects and developers, understanding the technology components of solutions and contributing to decision-making.
• Reports on progress to internal management and external customers.
• Represents the software DevOps team for all phases of larger and more complex projects.

Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in software development, information technology, engineering environment, or a related field.
