The IT Business Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning. This resource will have strong communication and diplomacy skills in order to influence internal partners to ensure right solutions are conceptualized and developed from the outset.
Responsibilities:
Develop best technical solutions to meet business needs and manage complex, high volume applications in partnership with business partners and stakeholders
Manage multiple work streams and applications across geographies for Credit Initiation and Onboarding
Contribute to formulation of strategies/processes for Product Road map, Development and Governance and contribute to defining standards and new automation initiatives
Develop communications to guide, influence and convince others, including colleagues in other areas and external customers
Provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business and filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources
Supervise day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management, work allocation, mentoring of onsite and offsite resources and other duties and functions as assigned
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Skills & Experience required:
Strategic, analytical, and systematic thinking to challenge the status quo constructively to drive change and continuous improvement.
Hands on technical experience in SDLC Tools – JIRA, GIT, CMS, Visio
Experience with data flow, metadata, cataloging tools that support capture, organization, transformation, and consumption of data (example – Collibra)
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8+ years’ experience as a business analyst in finance/banking environment and experience in wholesale is added advantage.
Working experience with Retail Consumer products in retail Card, Loans, Mortgages
Comfortable working with large data volumes and be able to demonstrate a firm understanding of logical data structures and analysis techniques
Strong data analysis skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to demonstrate an expertise in identifying and resolving data quality issues – in data sets at rest and in flight
Experience in financial services industry and/or regulatory environments
Experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles in business analysis
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred

Quickly becoming SME on Finance and Risk Functions on all the products in Retail banking Space – Cards, Loans, and Mortgages.
Perform analysis of data sources using SQL and other data access tools
Provide input during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of systems scope, objectives and necessary system enhancements for complex, high-impact projects
Identify and communicate risks and impacts and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and partner with multiple management teams and other units to meet organizational objectives
Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems and industry standards
Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decisions
