Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and upgrade IT infrastructure both manually and using automation tools, support directories, and perform server deployments and upgrades.
  • Manage and configure network switches, firewalls, and wireless network infrastructure.
  • Deploy and maintain virtualization clusters, anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers and workstations, and analyze systems, servers, applications, and network performance.
  • Respond to escalated IT tickets from end-users.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree.
  • 2 years of related experience.
  • Required skills:
    • Experience with layer 4 -7 networking technologies including Load Balancing, DNS, TLS, HTTPS (2 yrs)
    • Upgrade and maintain Windows and Linux-based hosts/servers to ensure uptime and high availability (2 yrs)
    • Experience with programming languages including Python and scripting languages including bash and PowerShell to automate manual processes (2 yrs)
    • Experience with Configuration Management using Ansible to configure and manage compute and network resources (1 yr)
    • Configure and maintain cloud-based IT systems including AWS, Zscaler ZIA, and ZPA (1 yr)
    • Experience with on-premise and cloud-based network security technologies including VPN, Proxy, Firewall, and PKI (1 yr)
    • Build and integrate infrastructure for logging and monitoring various systems for data collection, analysis, and troubleshooting (1 yr)
    • Experience configuring and maintaining network switches utilizing protocols including VLAN’s, LACP, stacking, DHCP security, ARP, and STP (any level of experience)
    • Experience with network routing technologies including static routing, BGP-based routing, and OSPF (any level of experience)
  • Up to 10% domestic travel required. May work remotely; periodic time in the office required; must live within commuting distance of the office.
