About the role and team

The Global Monetisation team is responsible for maximising long-term value creation for the company across buyers, sellers and partners. As Head of Global Monetisation – EU Markets, you will work on some of the largest and most complex elements of eBay’s strategy, driving financial performance and defining the relationships eBay has with its customers and partners representing the firm’s largest source of competitive advantage. You will be responsible for continuously optimising eBay’s commercial strategy including all the revenue drivers and promotion plan, at the same time bringing transformation and innovation to create future revenue streams for our long-term success.

The candidate in this role will report into Director of Monetization – UK and EU markets, and the team sits within Global Revenue and Buyer Engagement organization. The successful candidate will need to operate cross-functionally in the day-to-day workings of our international business while at the global level it will be important to collaborate effectively with the other major country leads in primarily USA and UK to develop global revenue initiatives, pricing strategies and to build out pricing capabilities & infrastructure.

What you will accomplish

You will work across the full range of Monetisation activities, including core pricing, promotions, special pricing and additional revenue streams:

  • Craft and implement pricing strategies that cater to diverse customer segments and product categories.
  • Drive revenue growth and meet financial objectives through effective pricing and revenue management.
  • Develop promotional strategies that support pricing policies and contribute to long-term revenue growth.
  • Communicate policy changes to sellers, ensuring seamless integration with other seller-focused initiatives.
  • Work on regional and global projects, encouraging collaboration to enhance organizational tools and infrastructure.
  • Build strong connections with B2C and C2C seller teams in the EU and globally to ensure cohesive monetization efforts.

What you will bring

  • Proven experience in revenue management and pricing of services, with exposure to designing and managing comprehensive rate cards preferred
  • Bachelors degree and higher (ideally in a business field such in Applied Econometrics, Finance or Business Management equivalent) with demonstrated ability or exposure to analytics,  commercial analysis or finance functions  
  • Proficiency in analytics tools like Excel and SQL.
  • Prior experience developing pricing and packaging in marketplace, retail, or software-as-a-service businesses
  • Prior experience leading and establishing impactful, global teams
  • Proven experience owning the delivery of strategies, experiences, or products from roadmap to delivery in a highly collaborative environment
  • Experience in Agile Product Management
  • Ability to present proposals that incorporate the customer impact as well as the commercial impact.
