The Role

We are seeking a proactive and self-motivated Platform Architect to join our platform engineering team. This team is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure platform and ensuring its high availability and scalability. Our objective is to provide a reliable, easy-to-use, fully automated platform that allows our developers and quant teams to quickly get up and running without worrying about infrastructure. The ideal candidate should be a strong learner, willing to take initiatives, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

 

What you’ll do 

 

  • Infrastructure Management: Design, build, and maintain highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IAC) principles.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management processes. We believe all infrastructure and tools we provide should be self-service and highly maintainable at scale.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless application deployments and ongoing uptime.
  • Contribute and lead efforts to continuously improve the platform reliability, security, and cost optimization.
  • On-call Duties: Participate in L3 on-call rotations and incident response processes.
  • Mentor and upskill team members on cloud-native technologies and best practices.

 

What you’ll bring
What you need:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong coding skills in at least one language, ideally Golang or Python, but open to other OO languages.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Extensive experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and cloud-native technologies.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines leveraging DevOps practices.
  • Extensive experience with IaC and cloud provisioning tools.
  • Excellent cultural fit and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with Portfolio managers

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $180,000 – $250,000. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
