Business Operations

  • The Business Operations team helps guide and articulate technology strategy and research, and is responsible for driving the day-to-day operation of the Product & Technology organization, including: project and portfolio management and tracking; organization-level capital, space, and resource management and allocation; process management; technical incident management; and our administrative and workplace experience support team.

Job Summary

You will help build a suite of products across finance, resource management, and operational management, tackling daily challenges to deliver solutions for a wide variety of organizations and processes. By researching and incorporating cutting-edge technologies and AI capabilities, you will have a direct impact on the company’s financial and operational health—providing executives with unmatched visibility into these critical domains, enabling faster, data-driven decision-making, proactive risk identification, improved resource allocation, and clearer alignment between strategy and execution.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Contribute to the design and development of core systems across finance, resource management, and operational management, building scalable and reliable solutions.
  • Implement well-designed features from requirements to production, working closely with product managers and senior engineers to support diverse organizational workflows.
  • Apply modern technologies and AI capabilities by learning and integrating new tools, frameworks, and services to improve product functionality and efficiency.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code, with attention to performance, data integrity, security, and user experience.
  • Support executive visibility and outcomes by building and maintaining APIs, data pipelines, and reports that provide accurate insight into financial and operational health.
  • Participate in technical decision-making, contributing ideas in design reviews and learning to evaluate tradeoffs with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Grow technical leadership skills through code reviews, documentation, and collaboration—while continuously improving engineering practices and domain knowledge.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Experience writing scalable, modular code with focus on maintainability
  • Solid understanding and production use of Node.js and API development
  • Familiarity with search platforms such as OpenSearch or Elasticsearch
  • Working knowledge of software testing practices and tools
  • Developing APIs with Node.js, or similar frameworks
  • CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
  • Writing unit and integration tests

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to write and optimize search queries in OpenSearch
  • Front-end integration with CMS content (e.g., building React-based interfaces)
  • Managing headless CMS content structures and user roles
  • Comfortable integrating with or extending a CMS
  • Exposure to Docker or containerized development environments
  • Participation in Agile or Scrum workflows

Required Education  

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training or work experience.
