Job Description:

The Procurement Department is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated intern to support the Managua Procurement function and its related tasks, during a period of 6 months, with a possibility of extension to 12 months.

Ideally, the Procurement intern is interested in Purchasing Process, supporting the business with quotations, purchase orders, systems, responding FAQs and supporting administrative activities. Having a base understanding of Purchasing and contract processes is a plus. They should be comfortable helping to coordinate the requirements with various stakeholders and suppliers.

You will:

  • Review in a timely manner, purchase requisitions.

  • Act upon purchase requisitions and start the quotation process.

  • Coordinate with suppliers delivery and create the purchase orders.

  • Follow-up on contracts to be signed and pending deliveries.

  • Assist with Procurement related reports and process flows.

  • Support with engagement activities

You have:

  • At least 18 years old

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate programme, or have graduated within the past two years (Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Commerce, or related careers)

  • Have strong academic performance and motivation

  • No experience is required. Above 6 months experience in Procurement is a plus. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google platforms is a plus

  • Proficiency in English B1

  • Must have the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
