2026 Undergraduate Summer Intern
This internship offers hands-on experience in some core functions of Human Resources, from maintaining accurate employee records to supporting day-to-day HR operations. You’ll gain practical knowledge of compliance, and HR systems while working closely with experienced professionals. The role provides exposure to client partnering, giving you insight into how HR collaborates with different departments to drive organizational success. You’ll develop essential skills in communication, problem-solving, and process improvement that are highly valued in any HR career. By the end of the internship, you’ll have a strong foundation in HR administration and a clear understanding of how HR impacts the employee experience and business outcomes.
The HR Team are strategic partners who focus on creating a positive employee experience while ensuring legal and policy alignment. Our team values collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement, which allows us to support both employees and business leaders effectively.
Collaboration extends beyond HR—we partner with managers, finance, and operations to align HR processes with organizational goals.
An intern in this department can expect to learn:
• How to organize, update, and maintain accurate employee files.
• Understanding compliance requirements for recordkeeping and privacy.
• Learning how to prepare HR documentation and reports.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems).
• Data entry, reporting, and troubleshooting common system issues.
• Familiarity with employment standards and company policies.
• Understanding confidentiality and legislative requirements.
• Building communication and problem-solving skills in a professional setting.
• Participating in initiatives like file cleanup or digitization.
• Learning how HR contributes to efficiency and organizational success.

This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 35 hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $24 (dependent on location and function) CAD per hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
