Hours: 2p to 10:30p including every other weekend & rotating holiday schedule
What you will need:
Education (Required):
High-school diploma
Certification:
CPR BLS through American Heart Association (AHA
Experience & Skills:
Excellent communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Minimum six months customer service or patient transporter experience
Work conditions include working in an area that is somewhat unpleasant due to drafts, noise, temperature variation or the like, and working with equipment or performing procedures where carelessness would probably result in minor cuts, bruises or muscle strains.
Functional demands are very heavy, needing very high energy level. Work requires the ability to lift over 50 lbs. Carry 80 lbs. a distance of 30 feet. Push/pull > 200 lbs. (i.e. Patients on bed, stretcher) Lateral transfer or max assist sit to stand transfer.
What you will do:
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed or alternative means. This includes disconnecting and re-connecting patient’s IV pumps from the IV pole and oxygen. Delivers patient equipment to nursing floors as needed.
