The Global Facilities Cost Team (FACCOST) drives alignment and benchmarking of facilities cost categories across Micron's global facilities network to achieve cost efficiency and maximize benefits.

FACCOST focuses on planning and prioritizing cost-related strategic programs. We collaborate with all Facilities Network and cross-functional groups to drive deliverables that support both the Organization's and Company's goals. Key areas include Budgeting and Funding Process, Cost Savings, Cost Performance Metrics, and Quarterly Facilities Business Planning.


Role and Responsibilities
Capital Management

  • Coordinate budgeting and funding reviews with the facilities network, Finance, Procurement, and Planning stakeholders.
  • Oversee project execution, monitor PO and project progress with stakeholders towards completion, and identify mitigation plans to resolve risks in project delays.
  • Define cost-saving strategies with Project Owners, Engineering, and Procurement stakeholders.

Capital Data Integration

  • Develop reporting capabilities, such as Power Bi Data Analytic, to support detailed data analysis.
  • Partner with Planning, Finance, and Procurement stakeholders to examine spend trends, cost drivers, and cost performance.
  • Ensure accurate spend data and collaborate with Project Owners to meet Capex Compliance Metrics.

Strategic Capital Program

  • Govern and support construction project cost-related processes, benchmarking, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with Planning to examine the Long-Range Plan (LRP) and assess high-level scenario impacts for Facilities.
  • Oversee Facilities capital programs and business processes, providing continuous support to address complex issues and close any gaps.

Requirements

  • Good understanding of Micron’s Capital Processes (preferable with fundamental knowledge of Facilities operations/engineering, Facilities cost model)
  • Ability to effectively organize and facilitate meetings.
  • Demonstrate Project Management capability to manage and move cost projects effectively through the project lifecycle.
  • Familiarity and able to navigate cost information system applications such as SAP, FMS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptability to embrace Business Volatility.
  • Excellent PC skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook as the candidate will need to manage and analyze a significant amount of data and provide a concise summary. 
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Demonstrate high level integrity in managing sensitive data.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and respect.
  • Able to develop long term working relationship and trust across the global Facilities network.
  • Effective team player

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree and above specialized in Engineering, Business, or Finance or equivalent experience
  • 5 years experience in any of the following:
    • Cost Control
    • Project Management
    • IE/Capital Planning
    • Procurement
    • Finance
    • Engineering
    • Manufacturing
