The Group Digital Director is an experienced player/coach role responsible for the leadership of a pod of sales team members, whilst also being active in market helping to grow the patch of business overall. Reporting to the Head of Agency Sales, this role is responsible for leading and developing senior relationships and strategy across Publicis, Havas and Independents. We expect the successful candidate to have amazing relationships across the above holding companies, an inspiring management style and the mindset to get stuck in where needed.
The Group Digital Director is an adaptable individual who can motivate their team, help to open doors across the agency groups and help define the strategic approach in order to deliver on targets. We are looking for candidates with 8+ years of media sales experience with a focus on Publicis, Omnicom & Dentsu, preferably within a digital or technology focused business.
Note: GumGum fosters a flexible work environment, offering GumGummers the ability to work either in-office or remotely/from home. However, for occasional in-person collaboration, we kindly ask that this position be located within a 'commutable' distance to our office.
What You'll Achieve
Drive UK Revenue & Quota: Lead the team to hit and exceed revenue targets by actively growing and developing business across assigned UK agency patches.
Financial Forecasting: Partner with individual sellers to deliver accurate financial forecasts mapped to pipeline and expected revenue.
Strategic Team Leadership: Manage, motivate, and enable the day-to-day success of the sales team, leveraging your expertise to open doors and support career fulfillment.
Strategic Development: Collaborate with the Head of Agency Sales to define and implement market strategy, acting as a thought leader to solve complex client initiatives.
Senior Relationship Cultivation: Expand company visibility by nurturing existing networks and developing new senior relationships with Heads of Planning/Investment and Business Directors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal operations, publisher development, and marketing teams to streamline efficiency and communicate critical market feedback.
Skills You'll Bring
8+ years of agency sales experience: Proven track record of hitting or exceeding targets, specifically with deep knowledge of Publicis, Omnicom, and Dentsu.
Established senior network: Possesses an exceptional list of active, high-level contacts and a strong reputation across the major agency holding companies.
Proven team leadership: Experienced in managing and scaling sales teams, with the ability to adapt management styles to motivate people and build a high-performing culture.
Digital market expertise: Solid, up-to-date understanding of the digital advertising industry landscape and emerging market trends.
Exceptional communication skills: Demonstrates superb written and verbal communication alongside high attention to detail and daily organizational skills.
Core tech literacy: Highly proficient in foundational business tools, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
