About the role 
 
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you’ll be part of our Financial Shared Services team who manage the receivables across Foodstuffs North Island (think PAK’nSAVE, New World and Four Square) and its group of companies. 
 
The role is busy with loads of variety including: 
 
- Sundry Billing - actively following up to ensure recurring charges continue to be raised to members and third parties  

- Support with billing related tasks supporting Change of Ownerships, including management of retention accounts 

- Ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately, including daily banking, staff expenses, monthly gym fees and fuel charges, general ledger journal processing and day to day management of Foodstuffs Gift Vouchers, including liaising with customers  

- Support fulfilling the B2B customer gift cardorders 

- Ensuring incoming customer payments are receipting and allocating in a timely manner 

- Being able to be back up for other tasks such as processing weekly statements and direct debits to members, processing of automatic payments for Christmas Club to name a few 

- Ensuring process notes and documentation for tasks assigned are kept up to date 
 
 
About you 
 
This is a busy role in a small team, with a mix of accounts, admin and customer service and you will need to have had previous experience in Accounts Receivable/Payable, understand financial workflows and be comfortable working at pace – we need you to hit the ground running! 
 
- A customer centric approach with high level of relationship management focus to deliver excellence

- You will have excellent planning and communication skills – both written and verbal, with a great ability to collaborate with others, clearly articulate ideas/concepts and present to others 

- Have a good understanding of SAP and the flow of financial documents 
You will have an eye for detail and accuracy 

- Be able to process large volumes of work daily, you’ll have a passion for process improvement with intermediate levels of Excel 

- Experience from a FMCG environment will be highly advantageous
