THE ROLE
The Director FP&A and Data Analytics ("Role") is an integral part of the Finance team. You have a passion for how the finance function can transform the strategy, accountability and operations of the Company as a whole. This role will be responsible for the company's senior management and Board of Directors reporting, as well as be a key strategic partner to the CFO by building and developing robust financial reporting, controls and insightful value-added Key Performance Indicators ("KPIs") dashboards to drive business decision support, continual innovation of financial planning and will actively partner with other leaders across the organization to accomplish goals. You will be responsible for optimizing financial processes, decision support processes and financial systems as WittKieffer grows. The role will not only produce financial analyses, but also review results and provide recommendations on appropriate business actions. Critical to success is the ability to develop an understanding of the company's operations, processes driving performance as well as the key assumptions and trends that may affect future performance. The company has recently implemented Workday ERP including Adaptive Planning.
The work can be carried out in a remote or hybrid environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting:
Prepare timely and accurate reporting while driving insights into firm financial performance through variance and KPI analysis.
Ensure timely and accurate budget vs. actual analysis and future projections.
Build and maintain reports for Market/Solution leadership to provide business partners and management with budget variance analyses including insights into causes and potential resolutions.
Prepare quarterly Board of Directors and Monthly Performance Review presentations outlining key business initiatives and financial performance.
Ensure consistent communication of results, forecasts, and action plans to the company and its stakeholders (Leadership, Lenders, et al.).
Responsible for designing and supporting operational optimization through the performance of financial analysis, modeling, data analytics, and reporting.
Support the analysis, business planning, and performance management of business growth opportunities (e.g., new practices, mergers and acquisitions, etc.).
Perform market research as needed including the size of a given market, industry performance standards, and other information that can help the organization understand its performance relative to total opportunity and/or peers.
Financial Analysis:
Analyze business performance across Markets/Solutions, working with functional teams to maximize business results and/or create models that advise management on decisions such as how to improve performance, minimize risk, or capture new opportunities.
Ensure and effective and robust financial planning infrastructure: manage the FP&A team as well as all contributors in the markets/solutions and enterprise services.
Lead the annual budget process, reporting, analysis, planning, and forecasting activities.
Work closely with the Controller and Asst. Controller to manage the operationalization of the annual budget.
Lead the annual 5-year valuation process using a three statement model including analysis, reporting, and creation of presentations for use with the Enterprise Leadership and Board of Directors.
Building and maintaining the financial planning cadence on a rolling monthly and quarterly basis.
Create reports for KPIs, including business performance, dynamic capacity planning, utilization, and market analytics. Where possible, automate report production and make data self-service for users.
Responsible for creating KPI and dashboard framework such that all KPIs have definitions and are integrated into the Company’s financial model.
Ensure non-GAAP financial metrics are properly defined, measured, and reported on a consistent basis.
Strategy & Operations:
Manage and prioritize requests for resources and investments; evaluate and recommend based on return-on-investment analysis; track and review actual performance to ensure achievement of business case.
Partner with business leaders and key stakeholders across the organization to provide pragmatic financial insights and recommendations to drive bookings and revenue growth while scaling the business to increase operating leverage and cash flow.
Develop strong understanding of the operations and processes to creatively identify analytics and KPIs that lead to performance and operational improvement.
Partner with leadership in helping develop and execute business strategies by functioning as a business partner and providing proactive guidance of key business strategies and actions.
Develop integrated and scalable financial systems that provide highly predictable and understandable financial results.
Provide input to FP&A and Accounting teams around expected outcomes; updated targeted outcomes monthly and highlighted areas of risk and opportunity versus our corporate plan.
Develop and manage analytical reporting packages, advance the business towards strategic business imperatives and profitable organic growth; ensure the accuracy and integrity of all data analysis and process.
Embrace and advance forward process improvements towards functional transformation objectives for the finance organization and global business practices.
Ensure CFO informed of significant events impacting corporate performance.
Team Management & Development:
Lead and manage a Financial Analyst, providing guidance and support to ensure high-performance through your leadership implementation of best practices and demonstrating WittKieffer's core values.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and collaboration within the department.
Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to team members.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Business/Data Analytics; MBA/Master's Degree preferred.
Certified Corporate FP&A Professional (FPAC) a plus.
Seven years of related professional work experience; experience in a professional services organization preferred.
Exposure to a valuation three statement model a plus.
Experience analyzing financial and business operational data together for greater insights.
Exceptional work ethic, team mentality, positive attitude, highly-driven, self-motivated, and excellent business partnering skills.
Passion for technology and genuine desire to make meaningful contributions on a team with big aspirations.
Demonstrated ability to consistently work within fixed timeframes and meet deadlines.
