Full-time Research Support positions in the Hammerling Research Group offered through the Applied Mathematics and Statistics department in collaboration with the Payne Institute for Public Policy.The Hammerling Research Group is one of the leading research groups for modeling and data analysis of methane emissions and monitoring. These positions will lead one or more research projects in the group, focused on data analysis and modeling of methane emissions at various temporal and spatial scales. These positions will interface with other research groups engaged in collaborative projects.
Annual terms and reappointment may depend on performance and/or continued availability of funding.
The Research Support position collaborates in a team environment with other funded researchers and faculty at Mines and interacts with research team partners at other US institutions. These positions will span a number of objectives related to the energy research and modeling performed by the group. The successful candidates will build strong and positive working relationships with students, faculty, and administrators, as well as external community and business partners as required by the project. Occasional travel for meetings with collaborators and scientific conferences is likely.
The successful candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States by time of application; Mines will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.

Annual Rate
$65,000 - $130,000
Research Support salary levels commensurate with the candidate degree and experience and as budget allows.
Mines takes into consideration a combination of candidate’s education, training and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required in the role, work location, and external market and internal value when determining a salary level for potential new employees.
