Summary:
Strong proficiency and minimum 5 years of experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Power BI, including Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service. As a Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical direction and architectural design of bespoke software solutions. This role requires guiding teams through the entire development lifecycle, from initial design concepts to final delivery. The position demands ensuring that development practices meet high standards of quality, scalability, and performance, all while aligning with the broader business goals. Collaboration with various stakeholders and continuous evaluation of project progress are integral parts of the daily routine, fostering an environment of innovation and technical excellence.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key business metrics and trends
- Create and maintain data models using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications
- Connect and integrate data from various sources (AWS Athena, AWS RDS, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Oracle)
- Transform and clean data to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Develop and optimize DAX calculations and measures
- Implement row-level security and data governance practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data connectivity, performance, and visualization
- Regularly update and optimize dashboards to ensure performance and relevance to business goals
- Stay current with the latest Power BI features and best practices

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency and minimum 5 years of experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Power BI, including Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and database design principles
- Solid understanding of cloud services, preferably AWS
- Experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query
- Proficient in SQL for data querying and manipulation
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices
- Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes

- This position is based at our Pune office.
