Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $54,200.00 - $81,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for providing data, insights, and analyses regarding the products in Cox Automotive Manheim Wholesale Marketplace, including standard reporting and monitoring of the health of the business, ad-hoc analyses of site projects, A/B tests, and proactive identification of actionable optimization opportunities.  

This position interacts with a variety of teams to understand business needs and provide information in support of business decisions.  The insights provided by this individual would be used to make informed prioritizations, and data-driven decisions regarding the optimization of existing products, as well as the development of new business opportunities.  

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with and support cross-functional teams within the organization to make data-driven business decisions aimed at growth / business optimization. 
  • Support Analytics Leads for company initiatives and projects and review results with various levels of internal audiences with Manager's support. 
  • Monitor the health of Manheim’s online environments and its products and provide actionable insights (e.g. visitor behaviors, ad data, trends, changes, anomalies, etc.) to drive growth. 
  • Provide support to senior team members on ad-hoc requests, works with stakeholders and team members to obtain requirements. 
  • Own standard reports, providing key insights on KPI performance through automated visualization techniques, able to develop these reports and perform related simple analyses with Manager’s support. 
  • Validate that the data in our reporting and analyzing systems are accurate.  Ensure cross-system data are accurate and align to how the business defines them. 
  • Work with senior team members to support the maintenance of analytics implementation, maintenance, accuracy and improvement of digital analytics data capture, systems, and tools. 
  • Work with Manager and direct line of leadership to define priorities, must be able to deliver against business goals working both independently and collaboratively.

WHO YOU ARE

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; 1-2 years’ experience in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred major in Business or analytical fields such as marketing, business, economics, finance, statistics, mathematics, psychology, or social science. 
  • Must have foundational knowledge of SQL-based relational databases (e.g. Snowflake, Netezza, Redshift, etc.)
  • Experience with SQL coding is ideal
  • Foundational Excel analytics skills, including formula and trending charts development. 
  • Must be able to understand and analyze data, interested in synthesizing large volumes of data, leveraging foundational mathematical and statistical principles to inform and validate analyses.
  • Must be able to learn and use digital analytics technology (i.e. Adobe Marketing Suite, Google Analytics, SQL-based databases, etc.). 
  • Possess entry level presentation skills.  Must be comfortable articulating analytical concepts in a concise manner to small-medium groups of internal team members with Manager's support. 
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach which includes an appetite to improve results and endless intellectual curiosity, desire to continuously learn about the fast-changing automotive landscape. 
  • Positive and professional demeanor and ability to clearly communicate, including presenting analysis findings to stakeholders. 
  • Flexible working style: ability to multi-task and switch gears at light speed and thrive in an agile environment. 
  • Ability to learn new concepts and apply them in day-to-day problem-solving and stakeholder engagements. 
  • Ability to understand key discussion points during a conversation and synthesize for sharing. 
  • Must live within a commutable distance to the Atlanta office and come onsite two to three days a week.
  • Must be able to travel by land and/or air for business trips (up to 5%). 

Preferred skills:

  • Preferred experience with Online experience with web / digital analysis and related software preferred (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, WebTrends, etc.).
  • Preferred experience working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
