We are delighted to have the opportunity to appoint a new discipline-specific intern to work alongside nine board-certified ECVIM Internal Medicine Specialists and two ECVIM-CA approved Small Animal Medicine residents. The post will be a 12-month fixed-term position, aiming to provide a firm foundation for candidates hoping to progress to a residency position in the future. The role will encompass general support within the service (including with procedures, inpatient care and administration), and a specialist-supervised regular caseload during normal working hours and as an active part of an out-of-hours rota.

The team manages a range of complex cases, working alongside cardiology, ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, neurology and dermatology teams. We work together with our specialist-led anaesthesia team and radiologists, alongside a highly skilled nursing and support team.

You will preferably have completed a multi-disciplinary 12-month rotating small animal internship, or have worked in a high quality small animal first opinion practice for a minimum of 2 years. You must be highly self-motivated and be able to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and clients.
