Technical Requirements Analyst / Proxy Product Owner
GDIT seeks a highly motivated Technical Requirements Analyst / Proxy Product Owner to join our dynamic team. This individual will bridge the gap between business and deeply technical teams, ensuring successful development and delivery of highly technical solutions that meet client needs and market demands. The role emphasizes translating complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
Responsibilities:
Product Vision and Roadmap:
Develop and maintain the technical roadmap to align with business goals, market trends, and customer needs.
Identify product dependencies and ensure alignment across relevant teams and stakeholders.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the product vision and strategy.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and update the product roadmap.
Backlog Management:
Translate business needs into technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide development efforts.
Work with stakeholders to refine and adjust priorities within the backlog based on changing business needs and technical constraints.
Ensure all requirements are documented to a level of detail that supports efficient development, testing, and deployment.
Manage and prioritize the product backlog to align with team objectives and overall goals.
Gather and document product requirements for clear communication with development teams.
Delivery and Execution:
Partner with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
Support Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
Act as Proxy Product Owner during sprint ceremonies, providing clarification, direction, and approval for development tasks when the Product Owner is unavailable.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to remove blockers and ensure smooth delivery of technical solutions.
Ensure technical feasibility and compatibility of new product solutions by working directly with architects and developers.
Analysis and Continuous Improvement:
Conduct gap analyses of workflows and solutions.
Use data-driven insights and feedback to improve product experiences and performance.
Monitor product performance metrics to prepare for future enhancements.
Analyze and evaluate technical trade-offs between features, architecture designs, and resource constraints.
Propose and implement process improvements for more efficient technical requirement gathering and delivery workflows.
Stakeholder Communication:
Provide regular updates on product status and ongoing development.
Facilitate technical discussions between business stakeholders and development teams to align on architecture and requirements.
Effectively communicate technical complexities and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
Ensure strong alignment between business priorities, technical development, and organizational objectives.
Product Launch and Monitoring:
Oversee product launches and ensure they meet quality standards.
Address user feedback and utilize it to enhance future product iterations.
Coordinate release plans, ensuring all technical dependencies and deliverables are completed on schedule.
Collaborate with QA and operations teams to define and execute acceptance and validation testing.
The Technical Requirements Analyst / Proxy Product Owner must have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Active Secret Clearance
Experience:
Strong background in building and managing complex technical products in person with customer interactions.
Proven experience as a Product Owner in tech-focused organizations.
Understanding of software development, infrastructure, and UX design principles.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
Proven ability to manage complex and large-scale projects in fast-paced environments.
Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and data-driven decision-making.
Experience in defining and implementing product roadmaps that align with business strategies and technical capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted Proxy Product Owner, actively supporting Agile teams and filling in for Product Owners when needed.
Skills:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities effectively.
Ability to document, refine, and prioritize technical requirements effectively.
Adept at mediating technical discussions to drive consensus between engineering teams and stakeholders.
Capability to handle competing priorities while balancing short-term needs and long-term product goals.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working at high-tech Fortune 500 companies (e.g., Google, Meta).
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow modules and managing enterprise solutions.
Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and their applications.
Certifications in product management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner).
