Works with users and user groups to help determine database requirements, options and accessibility.
• Tunes and operates systems, processes and databases to handle increasing data flows.
• Performs legacy to cloud migration.
• Performs technical evaluation of systems capabilities and performance.
• Contributes to efforts with Information Technology (IT) and Engineering / Product Development to modify structures, ensure performance optimization and plan for backup and recovery of database information.
• Assists with management of database elements, including creation, alteration, deletion and copying of schema, databases, tables, indexes, stored procedures, triggers and integrity constraints.
• Writes, debugs and maintains database scripts for various software packages.
• Ensures timely and effective implementation of systems upgrades and enhancements.
• Assists with management and maintenance of data in production and non-production databases and replication servers.
• Tests database security.
• Assists in automation of administrative tasks.
• Trains / mentors junior team members.

Oracle DBA(Eng Database Admin)

• The scope of this job is Oracle/SQL Server database administration, who is responsible for the installation, testing, configuration, trouble shooting and maintenance of Oracle and Oracle technologies. Establishes and documents standards and procedures for management review. The candidate should have been able to create, implement process, making the database administration support model more efficient. The ability to follow instructions both written and verbal is paramount as well as the ability to multi-task. Strong verbal skills are a must. Flexible work schedule is a must.
• Candidate should be well-versed with writing queries against Oracle / SQL Server database to generate reports for the stakeholder.

Job responsibilities:

• Strong in operations management, technical skills and client service.
• Database operations:    
• Responsibility lies with install, configure, troubleshoot and reporting on all SQL Server /Oracle database environments for all outsourced client environments.
• Database Administration / Configuration / Patching/ Backup and Recovery and Cluster management
• Knowledge in High Availability and Maintainability solutions for log shipping, Database mirroring, replication, Always ON and clustered servers
• Experience on T-SQL programming/Oracle PL/SQL.
• Good experience in Oracle Installations and Oracle Database Creation through
• DBCA, Manual, OMF and ASM.
• Experience in user management, roles and profiles.
• Management of schemas the tables &indexes.
• Creating users with restricted access with required privileges.
• Exporting and Importing database backups using Exp & Imp and EXPDP/IMPDP
• utilities.
• configuring and maintaining ASM Disk Groups & ASM databases.
• Configuring and managing backup through RMAN utility.
• RMAN configuration using recovery catalog.
• Backups and Recovery and Cloning of databases using RMAN.
• Upgradation of database from 10g to 11g and 11g to12c
• Configuring and maintaining Physical standby/Active standby
• databases.
• installing and configuring 10g/11gRAC.
• Assist for on-call duties as required.
• Adheres to procedures, maintains records and demonstrates commitment to solving user problems.
• Identify the reoccurring incidents/Issues and create the problem incidents to find the root cause of the event. Work with higher tiers to get the problem ticket to resolution.
•  Perform basic analysis, troubleshoot basic issues and investigate on all other incidents prior to escalating to next level IN ORDER TO meet the resolution SLA
