Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) 737 Fulfillment organization is looking for a Materials Management & Transportation Senior Manager (Level M) to join and lead multiple warehouse teams in Puget Sound area in Washington across all shifts.

The successful candidate is someone who can lead first level and senior managers and teams across multiple value streams. Develops and executes strategic integration of the fulfillment policies and procedures incorporating key initiatives, organization goals and objectives. Leverages their knowledge of the company and multiple functional disciplines to meet supply chain management goals and our internal and external customers’ expectations. Candidates must be able to manage and translate strategic goals (process and technical improvements) into tactical actions that are understandable to the entire team. Manages, develops and motivates employees and first level managers. The successful candidate must be able to periodically work variable shifts. 

This role requires partnership with Leaders across the enterprise and an active member of the BCA – 737 Fulfillment Team. This position will discover new opportunities and solutions for business problems by looking beyond current practices and using innovative thinking. This role requires blending strategic thinking with on-the-ground execution, enabling the organizations to improve systems, business policies, processes, standard work and efficiencies to operate as One Boeing Supply Chain.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead team of managers and employees on process integration improvement activities across multiple warehouses that support the 737 program

  • Lead development and execution of project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and ensure operational goals are achieved

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Manage, develop and motivate managers of employees by utilizing OneBPS processes and principles (PSQDCI / Kamishibai boards, standard and leader standard work, operational DwD performance metrics, etc.)

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams

  • 5+ years of experience working with Supply Chain, Fulfillment or Manufacturing

  • 5+ years of experience in a role requiring strong organizational & interpersonal skills

  • 5+ years of experience in managing or leading people or teams

  • Must be able to periodically work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace/operations manufacturing management

  • 5+ years of experience in Lean Manufacturing and the Boeing Production System

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
