Your Role & Responsibilities 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of B&R by solving complex technical challenges in our Motion portfolio and enabling our global organization to support customers running our products in real industrial environments. You will act as a 2nd-Level expert, taking ownership of advanced inquiries, reproducing issues, isolating root causes, and driving solutions in close collaboration with development teams - while continuously improving product quality, usability, and documentation based on real-world feedback from international subsidiaries. 

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact. 

The work model for the role is: onsite with 10 home office days a month 

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Independently handle product-related inquiries and provide remote support, including occasional on-site customer visits

  • Analyze feedback from subsidiaries on product quality, usability, and documentation

  • Identify and troubleshoot issues in machine processes and their simulations

  • Collaborate closely with developers, particularly in the field of motion technology

What it takes to Run what runs the world 

  • Completed technical education (HTL, University) or comparable training in electronics / mechatronics (or related technical field).

  • Proven ability to work structured, reliably, accurately, and independently, with strong organizational skills.

  • Strong communication skills and distinct team orientation—able to translate complex technical findings into clear actions for global stakeholders.

  • Very good English (written and spoken) is required to collaborate internationally and document solutions clearly.

  • Experience or strong interest in industrial automation / motion technology (e.g., drives, motors, motion control, commissioning, field diagnostics) is a strong advantage.

  • Comfortable working with remote support and (rare) on-site scenarios at customer machines when needed.

The minimum compensation, in accordance with the electrical and electronics industry collective agreement, is X52.853,78 EUR annual for a full-time position as of May 2025. But we would be pleased to speak in person about your compensation package in relation to your qualifications and experience!
