The primary function of this position is to assist in providing valuable insights, solutions, services and operational improvements across the Specialty Professional platform. Activities will include data analysis and analytics projects, driving projects and solutions that will have major impact to stakeholders, and collaboration with all divisions within Specialty Professional to drive consistency. You will play a pivotal role in supporting strategic operational initiatives, which includes everything from being a part of creating new processes to driving operational and efficiency improvements. Your work will directly support the growth and strategic direction of Specialty Professional.

• Work with the Specialty Professional Liability PLL team on the overall management and guidance of the Professional Liability product lines.
• Drive projects having an impact on the business.
• Support the Product Line leaders in the active management of their portfolios
• Supports the Product Line leaders in annual Underwriting guideline refreshes and overall maintenance
• Maintain up-to-date familiarity with economic and legal factors impacting the Professional Liability portfolio and the overall insurance industry;
• Acts as a resource to the Global Underwriting auditing team
• Analysis of coverage and contract language based on industry accepted policy forms;
• Assist in management of book rates, aggregate exposure and other aspects of book performance across Specialty Professional;
• Work directly with the Senior Director, Operations & Delivery on strategic and data challenges and opportunities
• Assist in the development and implementation of new products;
• Engage in cross-selling the Company’s products and services across platforms;
• Contributes to operational business goals of the Specialty Professional platform
• Drives efficiencies across the platform by continuous review of operations and processes
• Support the Product Line leaders in the Quarterly Business Reviews process

 

Qualifications:

 

• Strong interpersonal skills, and proven written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong analytical and organizational skills and excellent problem solving/decision making abilities;
• Must be a team player and able to work independently as needed.
• A combination of three - five years of underwriting or claims, commercial insurance and data analysis experience
