Linklaters is a people business. Being best in class in the eyes of our clients means that our people must be exceptional.
We look not only for brilliant minds, but for people who will thrive in our environment: people who love working collaboratively and demonstrate the innovative, efficient, agile, entrepreneurial, and responsible mind-set we aim to bring to every interaction.
Ours is an environment of outperformance. We achieve this not with targets and incentives, but by fostering a positive, supportive, fair, and open atmosphere.
We respect and value difference but insist on inclusivity. We celebrate all aspects of diversity and challenge any form of bias. This is vital to our ability to work as one team, with a common goal.
The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a bright and committed school leaver or recent graduate to join a high-performance global finance team in a world-leading professional services firm and work towards a professional finance qualification.
As an Assistant Accountant in our Partnership Finance team, you will have a role in providing a high-quality service to the firm's 500+ partners across the world through a wide range of regular and ad hoc financial and administrative processes. You will be part of a team responsible for allocating and paying out the firm's global profits to partners, managing the firm's capital and supporting partners in most financial aspects of their partnership lifecycle from election to retirement.
Working closely with tax and finance colleagues at the London head office and across the globe, this role is varied, challenging and complex. It offers opportunities to gain a wide range of skills and experience through on-the-job training, in-house training programmes, support from friendly, approachable and experienced finance colleagues and full support towards a finance qualification, e.g. ACCA.
What we’re looking for:
An interest in, and commitment to, a career in finance and accounting.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deal with partners and top management.
Strong problem-solving skills.
What's on offer:
This is a hybrid role based in our London offices.
Joining Team Linklaters will see you qualify for a range of benefits designed to reward the vital contribution you'll be making to our success. These include:
