Mechanics Bank is currently searching for an Vendor Management Analyst to join our team. Here at Mechanics Bank, we value connection, partnership, long term relationships and working together in person. This role will be working on-site at our Roseville office.
Vendor Management Analyst will work alongside Vendor Risk Manager and Vendor Contract Managers to support Mechanics Bank’s goals & objectives. Examples include the following: Collecting, integrating and analyzing vendor information from multiple sources to identify, measure, monitor and control risk and costs within the context of the Bank’s Vendor Management Program. Using independent judgment to perform risk assessments of current and prospective third party relationships. Driving contract negotiation strategies, defining contract structure and administration, and owning all facets of select vendor relationships and activities to ensure proper contract execution and fulfillment in accordance with Bank policies, legal requirements and business partner specifications. Supporting vendor performance management initiatives and other ad-hoc efforts – such as vendor billing reviews, coordinating business and vendor utilization reviews, and more.
What you will be doing:
Participates in the due diligence process prior to selecting or renewing third party vendors. In collaboration with the business unit and vendor risk manager, analyzes all aspects of the vendor relations, such as: financial condition, relevant experience, reputation and the scope and effectiveness of third party internal controls, particularly in the areas of systems and data security, privacy protections, business resumption/contingency plans and audit coverage. Ensure proper monitoring and evaluation of strategic, reputation, operational, transaction, credit and compliance risk, as well as reporting to executive management and the Bank’s Board of Directors.
Contract administration & management for assigned vendors, including data entry and follow-up with business units and vendors to ensure timely decisions. Reviews and negotiates vendor contracts in collaboration with contracts managers.
Drives various department programs and initiatives, such as vendor performance management, vendor billing reviews, ad-hoc reporting, and more.
Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client and vendor relationships. Supports and helps to develop vendor relationships as needed. Serves as vendor relationship manager to assigned vendors as needed to resolve issues that arise.
Partners with internal stakeholders from groups such as accounting, information technology, information security, etc. to support jointly owned initiatives and programs.
Who you are:
Bachelor's Degree preferred; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in vendor management, contract management or risk management required.
Certifications in vendor management/contract management and risk management highly preferred.
Highly Proficient with: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet and technology more generally.
Excellent communication skills along with the ability to cope with pressure resulting from meeting required deadlines and responsibilities.
Exemplary motivation, enthusiasm, professionalism and team skills required.
Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.

Salary: $66,560-90,000
Final compensation package will be determined by the work experience, education, and/or skill level of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.
