Company Overview
Intersect Power is a team of friends driven to preserve our planet for future generations through low-carbon energy and infrastructure solutions. Founded in 2016, the privately held clean energy company develops and owns some of the world’s largest clean energy resources serving customers in retail and wholesale energy markets across North America. The company is redefining the scope of the clean energy industry by enabling new pathways between clean electricity and the broader economy to enable the deep decarbonization of our economy. We are on an aggressive growth trajectory and are staffing key positions.

Location & Team Gatherings
As a fully remote team, we prioritize building strong connections and a collaborative culture. To strengthen bonds beyond our daily virtual interactions, we host company-wide Team Weeks four times a year, bringing everyone together in person.

To further enhance our team spirit, we’re also establishing regional hubs in key cities—Houston, TX; Denver, CO; NYC Metro Area; Calgary, Canada; Toronto, Canada; the Bay Area and San Diego, CA, and we are currently hiring candidates from those locations. These hubs offer optional opportunities for informal gatherings and team-building, allowing colleagues to meet, collaborate, and connect in relaxed, in-person settings.

About This Position
The Environmental and Permitting Manager will be responsible for assisting with environmental diligence, discretionary permit processing and acquisition, and pre-construction permit implementation for gigawatt-scale greenfield and M&A renewable energy projects (including wind, solar PV, and BESS) in the Great Plains, South Central Region, and the Pacific Northwest. This position provides the opportunity to work cross-disciplinarily across a wide variety of specialties including business, finance, communications, biology, policy, and real estate. This position will report directly to the Director or Senior Director of Environmental and Permitting and work closely with M&A, Development, Real Estate, Community Engagement, Engineering, GIS, and Construction leads.
Note:  We welcome applicants who do not have current enforceable non-compete restrictions that would hinder their employment with us. If you are currently under a non-compete agreement with a previous employer, we kindly request that you carefully review the terms of that agreement and ensure that your potential employment with us does not violate those terms.

Unsolicited resumes or referrals from third-party recruiting firms or agencies are not accepted by Intersect Power.
