The role in a nutshell:

Luno is building the all-in-one investment platform, combining cryptocurrency, tokenised equities, and payments in one trusted, intuitive app.

We’re looking for a Senior Copywriter who can turn complex financial and crypto topics into stories that resonate. This isn’t just about writing well, it’s about spotting compelling narratives, understanding what makes a story stick, and translating that into clear, actionable messaging for traders, investors, and the wider community.

You’ll shape how Luno talks about crypto, trading, and finance across paid, organic, and owned channels, helping to drive engagement, education, and growth.

 

Your mission will be:

- Brand & Messaging

• Develop and evolve Luno’s brand voice across campaigns, social, community, and owned channels.
• Translate complex financial and crypto concepts into clear, engaging messaging that drives awareness and action.
• dentify narratives and angles that have the potential to resonate beyond Luno, across audiences, journalists, and the wider ecosystem. 
  
  

- Content Creation

• Conceptualise and write high-impact content for paid campaigns, organic social, CRM, and website channels.
• Collaborate closely with designers and creative teams to bring ideas to life, testing and iterating continuously.
• Use research, data, and insights to build stories that feel both informed and approachable.
  
  

- Collaboration & Performance

• Partner with Growth and Product teams to ensure messaging aligns with strategy and business goals.
• Test, measure, and optimise content based on performance data, ensuring every story and word contributes to growth.
• Stay attuned to trends in finance, crypto, and emerging narratives to inform campaigns that cut through the noise.
  
  

A little about you:

• 5+ years of copywriting experience, ideally in finance, tech, or crypto.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating storytelling, conceptual thinking, and versatility across formats and channels.
• Experience writing for both brand and performance, across social, CRM, website, and other owned channels.
• Firm grasp of SEO and keen interest in developing AEO strategies.
• Ability to translate complex topics into accessible, motivating, and media-ready narratives.
• Highly collaborative, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced, experiment-driven environment.
• Curious, detail-oriented, and energised by the opportunity to shape the voice of one of crypto’s leading platforms.
