Summary:
We are seeking a Project Procurement Manager to assist with strategic procurement in a New Product Introduction (NPI) environment. This position requires the ability to work with business units, engineering, production, finance and legal teams and third parties such as contract manufacturers and suppliers. 
Position requires strong quantitative and analytical skills, critical thinking, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

The Project Procurement Manager is positioned at the interface between our engineering teams and the industries that supply core technologies. We are responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies as well as recommending product innovations based on improving technology and materials alternates based on market availability.
The position requires an interest in market dynamics, negotiation and pricing, manufacturing processes, and risk mitigation, including short-term spot buys. The position is part of the supply chain management team who drives centralized capacity planning for all components used across our products and helps drive long term strategic deals.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support business units and engineering teams in identifying the requirements and provide supply and technology solutions to meet the product development and production needs.
Implement procurement strategies to facilitate efficient, cost-effective acquisition of the goods and services necessary for the business.
Collaborate across the organization to ensure business objectives are met. Includes the ability to rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and to actively identify potential supply issues that can affect product strategy.
Optimize supply chain performance through continuous delivery, improvement of costs, service and performance KPIs.
Service internal manufacturing organizations.
Develop an in-depth understanding of value-added manufacturing processes and costs and market intelligence and apply this knowledge to influence our future product roadmap and sourcing decisions.
Provide overall program management support and contribute to ongoing development of processes, templates, escalation procedures, and reporting.
 
 
Qualifications:
Education, Experience, Knowledge: 
BA/BS degree plus 8+ years of work experience, Master’s degree or MBA preferred
A tenacity, passion and demonstrated skill in negotiations
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Technical understanding and/or background preferred
Superb communication and interpersonal skills
Can build, grow and develop key cross-functional relationships to be able to influence and drive projects
Ability to operate independently
Ability to make quick decisions and solve complex problems with 80% information
Experience in supplier management and operations and ability to solve complex supply chain issues.
Direct experience in electronics component procurement and managing PCB/PCBA contract manufacturers.
 
The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $250,000, plus bonuses and Pre-IPO equity. It is uncommon for anyone to be hired at or near the top range for their role, and final compensation is based on the facts and circumstances of the case. The compensation range is broad because it reflects many factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training directly relevant to the role, business and company needs, cultural fit, level, and location.
