About the Job

The Onboarding Experience Specialist will conduct final interviews, make hiring decisions, and be the main point of contact for new hires from interview to training completion. The ideal candidate is a relationship-builder who understands and appreciates the value of the relationship with candidates and potential employees. This role is responsible for providing support and direction during the onboarding and orientation process, facilitating 1-on-1 and group meetings with new hires on a recurring cadence, and reporting on retention and development to each new hire’s leadership team. It is important in this role to demonstrate company culture and values throughout orientation by maintaining positive relationships, demonstrating efficiencies, and creating an open line of communication.

Job Description:

Selection

  • Create documentation of best practices and processes

  • Conduct interviews and make the hiring decisions

  • Partner with the analytics team to verify the candidate resides in the ideal market location

  • Contribute to a positive candidate experience by acting as a candidate advocate

OnBoarding    

  • Follow up to ensure completion of screening and I9

  • Review candidate eligibility for contingent hiring and submit to Onboarding

  • Coordinate training dates with field management

  • Ensure new hire credentials are issued and received before training

  • Offer a concierge service and new hire onboarding process until the person is completed with training and then passed to the direct manager

  • Meet with new hires to outline training modules

  • Audit and follow up on course completion within the new hire's first days of employment

  • Facilitate orientation training calls for field behaviors, strategy, and expectations

  • Report on new hire performance to the field leadership team

  • Conduct regular touch-base calls with the new hire team throughout NHO

  • Administer NHO sentiment survey and partner with the training team for process improvements

Other   

  • Create an intake form for each new requisition; obtain unique market knowledge from field management

  • Follow up with Regional Managers to ensure selection meets standards based on diverse market needs

  • Develop and maintain documentation via Excel spreadsheets and required platforms throughout the entirety of the process

  • Work with program Sr. Management to create best practices to reduce turnover, strategically hire, and increase productivity, and conduct reporting

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Performance Measurements:

  • Average time to fill open positions

  • Performance and quality of hires as related to associate productivity and tenure

  • Manager satisfaction with candidate pool quality and support

  • Demonstrate effective and thorough knowledge of client(s)

  • Professional and effective communication with the external client(s), internal stakeholders, and candidates

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in interviewing, hiring selection, onboarding, and field management

  • Intermediate working knowledge of Outlook, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Ability to create and modify spreadsheets via formulas, V-Look ups, pivot tables and other advanced Excel functions

  • Passion for improving candidate, hiring manager, and recruiting team experience

  • Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a high-paced, changing work environment as well as the ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage work time efficiently 

  • An uncommon balance of creativity and drive, along with interpersonal savvy and basic analytics
