The Position

The Human Resources Advisor is a true generalist HR position, responsible for providing support and advice to the M&E business, and broader ACCIONA business as required, on HR policy and practices, offering solutions in accordance with organisational priorities. 

You will be required to advise on issues pertaining to employment conditions, workplace relations policies and procedures, staff performance and talent management, disciplinary matters and other workplace matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate organisational and specific resourcing needs

  • Support senior HR colleagues in the management and resolution of workplace relations matters including formal and informal workplace grievances/disputes

  • Draft documentation (letters, contract clauses etc.)

  • Work under direction relating to enterprise agreement negotiations, basic to intermediate investigations and FWC cases

  • Provide considered and appropriate operational HR advice on a variety of workplace relations matters and assists more junior colleagues in interpreting and applying HR Policies and Procedures

  • Effectively apply compensation and benefits strategies to support organisational objectives, analyse market trends and develop competitive compensation packages

  • Manage and oversee all activities related to the employee lifecycle, including HR inductions and onboarding programs, probationary period reviews and employee exits.

  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate organisational and specific resourcing needs

  • Support senior HR colleagues in the management and resolution of workplace relations matters including formal and informal workplace

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Tertiary qualification in HR, Business or similar
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a generalist HR role, delivering contemporary HR practices in a medium to large sized business
  • Exposure to the Rail/Construction Industry is highly desirable but not essential
